Did you know that you can support the Cape Home Educators (CHE) with every swipe of your MySchool card from buying your groceries at Woolworths to buying books online at Loot?
In 2016 CHE decided to not have a membership fee of R180 per family per year. This means that we are dependent on donations and the income from the MySchool Program.
By nominating Cape Home Educators as your MySchool card beneficiary, you help us to:
Not ask a membership fee.
Engage with the Department of Basic Education (DBE) regarding the laws and policies that govern home education and to continually strive for home education freedom.
Use funds to cover representatives’ travel costs (flights, accommodation, car rental, etc.) for attending meetings with the DBE, home education conferences, and expos.
To cover our running costs such as website domain hosting, podcasts hosting, educational expos, etc.
Investigate and research home education developments both nationally and internationally as the need arise.
To help promote home education by contributing funds towards home education expos (e.g. the African Home Education Indaba) and the filming of the Home Education Documentary.
CHE is a volunteer-run organisation. The members of the committee does not receive any payment for the fulfilling of their duties. We need your help in serving the home education community.
